627 - HT-099 R8 VF+ Stickney & Wilson, Montgomery Alabama. Now firmly dated to the Hard Times period. Henry G. Stickney and Joseph W. Wilson ordered their tokens from Scovill Manufacturing Company in 1835 and were out of business by November 11, 1839. An exceedingly rare token. The Rulau Plate token which is perhaps slightly better but with some tiny spots sold in PCAC's November 1999 sale for $5,720. That same token was later sold by Stack's in there July 2008 sale for $5,750. From the Cindy Grellmen-Webker collection earlier from Rossa and Tanenbaum January 1987. (6000-8000)
