Description
536 - J. WEBB in raised letteres in a rectangular sawtoothed depression on the obverse of an 1802 Large Cent. FINE+ Coin AG+ but a bit porous with obverse and reverse punch marks. Rulau attributes this to James Webb born 1788, a Baltimore Maryland Silversmith
who was active beginning in 1817 until his death in 1844. He worked in different partnerships from 1827 to 1844 so he places this piece in the 1817 to 1827 time period. Rulau Md 115 (100-150)
