467 - WI410G-7a Unlisted AU Or nearly so. J. Rodermund Lager Beer Stock & Cream Ale, Madison Wisconsin. Popular token with horse drawn beer wagon. Unlisted obverse die, believed to be one of just two known. The most obvious difference from the listed obverse is that on this variety the top right of the F in OF touches the bottom right of second E in BREWERY, additionally the K in STOCK is far from the second E in BEER compared to the listed piece. An AU of the most available variety from this merchant sold for $941.60 in our June 2011 auction. From the Steve Tanenbaum collection purchased privately from us in February 1999. In a NGC holder graded AU55 BN. (1000-1500)
