220 - MI225AA-1a R6 MS64 70% Red. Farmers Clothing Store, Detroit Michigan with Indian Head reverse. Long considered one of the keys to a Detroit merchant set these varieties are scheduled to be combined with MI225BO in the new store card book. It is believe they do not represent separate businesses. Underrated variety and one of only four we have seen offered. A MS63 sold for $275 in our July 2012 sale. From the Cliff Temple collection earlier from H. Leonard May 20th 1939 at $0.30. In a NGC holder graded MS64 RB. (400-500)
