212 - MI135A-1a R9 AU+ With nice sharp strike. Boyd & Bradley Cassopolis Michigan. A rare town particularly in this nice and the rarest Indiana Primitive town, although no longer an R9. A great rarity at the time of purchase by Cliff Temple as can be seen by the price he paid over forty years ago. Over the those years a half dozen or so have turned up some being very low grade or damaged in some way. This is likely still the finest known. A VF+ sold for $1,507 in our June 2011 auction. From the Cliff Temple collection earlier from John Canfield on February 13th 1971 for $200 by far the most Cliff ever paid for a token. In a NGC holder graded AU55 BN. (2000-3000)
