116 - AL425A-5i R8 MS63 10% Bright with full Tin Plating. White & Swann, Huntsville Alabama struck in Zinc / Tin Plate. Very rare and desirable southern state. Rare "15" reverse die 1397. The finest of just two examples in our data base. A VF of the more available -6b variety realized $1,958 in our October 2001 sale. From the Steve Tanenbaum, David Tanenbaum and Julius Fazekas collections earlier from Charles Kirtley's March 1988 sale. (8000-12000)
