Description

234/431 a R6 NGC MS65 BN Trace Red on reverse and nicely toned. United States Capital 1863 with Value Me As You Pleas spelling error. Indiana Primitive version of Scovill's 233 die to which Higgins added the word Capital, another spelling error making this a double error. The only Patriotic use of this obverse die. We sold a Raw MS63 for $450 in our December 2017 catalog sale. From the Wayne Stafford collection.
