David Bowers Reference Collection with his picture and facsimile signature. 1863 Money Makes The Mare Go United States Copper but struck in Brass. Popular obverse die rarely seen in Brass, particularly this nice. Brass Civil War tokens seem to attract spots and stains like a magnet with this being a happy exception.
