40 - 104/521 a R9 PCGS MS62 BN Quite sharp, smooth and problem free for this variety. Indian Head Copper Mine Token struck by A. W. Escherich of Chicago Illinois. Rare variety with rare reverse die though overrated at R9. One of the most detailed examples we have seen offered. A weakly struck EF sold for $550 in our June 2005 sale, while a well struck and likely finest known AU+ brought $1,855 in our July 2012 sale. From the Dave Bowers and Steve Tanenbaum collections. From our July 2012 sale were it was a Raw AU+ and realized $1,855. (2000-3000)
