1016 - Sage's Historical Tokens No. 1a Raw MS62 10% Red. The Old Provost, N.Y. A British Prison During The Revolution. Signed L on obverse for maker George H. Lovett. The British "Brison" spelling error interestingly the B seems to be circled in pencil on this specimen. Copper 31mm Plain edge. We sold a similar but less red Raw example for $125 in our January 2016 sale. From the John Lewis collection earlier Bowers & Merena's June 2000 sale. (100-150)
