Scovill Button Manufacturer, Waterbury Connecticut struck with a Reeded edge; the Plain edge variety listed by Rulau likely does not exist. Quite rare and when available usually seen in low grade and / or damaged. We sold an NGC AU55 example in our February 2021 sale for $1,557.78. From the Don Partrick and Gil Steinberg collections, earlier from Stack's October 1989 sale. (3000-4000)
