153 - NY630 W-1a R4 NGC MS63 RB 20% Red more so on the reverse. Felix Kosher Dining Saloon, New York 1863. Very popular token with Kosher spelled out in Hebrew. A Raw MS63 brought $325 in our March 2010 sale. From the Don Partrick collection, earlier part of the "Found In Wall" contemporary hoard of Civil War tokens found hidden in the wall of a New York City building being renovated. The hoard was handled by Rossa and Tanenbaum and they were usually sold with the FIW designation noted on the back (upper right) of Steve's trade mark black and red inked 2x2 cardboard holders. Many of the tokens from this hoard had varying degrees of plaster residues, which through conservation was removed. (400-500)
