84 - IL150 A-1b R9 PCGS AU50 Trace Bright. Baierle's Saloon Chicago Good For One with Beer Mug pictured struck in Brass on a tiny 14mm planchet. This example shows the extensive die cracks mentioned in the current Store Card book. The current Fuld Plates does not show these cracks and we believe is actually made up of a composite of the Bleviss obverse with the Fuld/Tanenbaum reverse that was used in the 2nd edition. An exceedingly rare merchant and perhaps the smallest Civil War token issued. The Bleviss specimen in NGC AU58 (though spotted and stained) brought $1,610 in Stack's November 2009 auction. From the Dave Bowers collection, earlier from Rossa & Tanenbaum, in one of Dave's special holders with picture and facsimile signature. (2000-3000)
