Description

22 - 129/153 a R9 NGC MS64 BN 30% Red. Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin doubleheader struck in Copper. The Franklin die is very rare as a token, most often seen on counterstamped Large Cents. The die combination is exceedingly rare with just three varieties, all R9. We sold a PCGS MS65 RB example of the similarly rare 153/282 Copper variety in our February 2021 auction that realized $4,600. DeWitt AL 1864-74D. From the Don Partrick collection, earlier from New Netherlands June 1954. (4000-6000)
