15 - 114/432 f R9 NGC MS63 Nicely toned on a larger than usual planchet. George Washington No Compromise With Traitors struck in Silver. Very rare and one of the Classic Rarities in the Patriotic series. This is the only known use in either Civil War series. Obverse die by George H. Lovett. GW-652, The Copper is called very rare in Musante with Silver not listed. We sold Dave Bowers PCGS MS63 example on a somewhat smaller planchet for $3,600 in our April 2018 sale. From the Don Partrick collection, earlier from Stacks July 1951. (4000-6000)
