416 - MILLER NY 139 R7 NGC MS65 40% Bright. David C. Buchan Northmoor & Greenwich Street, Curled Maple and Fancy Chairs, New York with vintage chair pictured. The rarer of the two dies from this merchant, now listed in the pre Hard Times section. Formerly Low 226. Exceptional condition, usually seen in low grades with problems, we sold this very example for $900 in our July 2014 sale. From the John Ford collection, earlier from F. C. C. Boyd March 1958.
