300 - 191/443 do R9 NGC AU55 1863 Pro Bono Publico with New York on reverse struck in Copper Nickel over an 1858 Small Letters Flying Eagle Cent with excellent under type detail. While Civil War tokens struck over Indian Head Censt are somewhat available, particularly recently with the dispersal of the Bowers and Tanenbaum collections, those over Flying Eagle Cents have always been very elusive. From the Mark Glazer and Steve Tanenbaum collections, earlier from our July 2012 sale and still earlier from Chuck Kirtley October 1984 (1500-2000)
