84 - MI865A-1a R8 NCG Genuine VF Details obverse weak at periphery, porous with a crude square nail hole. W. Darling Saranac Michigan 1864 with Boot pictured. Very rare town and the key to a Michigan town set. A very historic sale with two Saranac's. From the Dave Bowers, Allen Bleviss and Don Thoms collections, earlier from Stack's September 2009 sale where it brought $2,990. Housed in an old style NCS (NGC's Numismatic Conservation Services) Genuine holder that has started to discolor around the token. A candidate for reholdering. (3000-4000)
