725 - RULAU MV 601A Raw VF Eureka 1867 10 Cents struck in Brass with a Reeded edge. A later use of Civil War token die 1394. The Eureka Hotel in San Francisco California has been suggested but this merchant remains a mystery despite issuing tokens in the following denominations 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 50, 60, 100, 500 and 10 Dollars with some in Copper and some in Brass, some Plain edge and some Reeded edge and some even with more than one die for the same denomination. All are quite rare. Fuld NC-12b with unlisted reverse. From the Dave Bowers collection. Data: 49.4 grains, 19.2 mm. (50-75)
