346 - OH935A-6a R9 Raw UNC Details 30% Red obverse but reverse was cleaned during its decades of display in a Marquette Michigan bank. Mrs. Owens & Taylor Millinery, Wilmington Ohio 1863 with Mercury Head reverse. Rare female merchant usually seen only in very low grades often with much detail missing at the periphery. Only the second example we have recorded, a raw AU Details with light stains brought $467.50 in our July 2007 auction. From the Dave Bowers and Louis Kaufman collections. (1000-1500)
