171 - IL692A- 3b R8 Raw MS63 10% Bright. Yankee Robinson The Great Comedian 1863 with pictorial of Robinson in top hat with rifle struck in Brass. Robinson operated a traveling Circus and traditionally was listed under Cincinnati Ohio. In the third edition of the Store Card book he has been relocated to Peoria Illinois where his base of operations was located at the time these Civil War tokens were issued. Very rare variety the first we have offered though we do have records of one other being offered, one possibly this very example. From the Dave Bowers collection. Data: 135°, 55.9 grains, 19.3 mm.
