140 - Possible Cairo Illinois Civil War Token Raw FINE Details Obverse planchet roughness. Wm. H. Schutter 10 Cents Cairo struck in Brass with reeded edge and Liberty Head reverse. Schutter was in Business in Cairo from before the Civil War until the late 1870's and is currently listed in the Possible Civil War Store Card section of the new book. Issue after the Civil War is precluded by the existence of an example in the September 1863 Edward Cogan sale of the J. P. Leavitt collection Lot Number 1660. Rulau IL Cr 4.
