298 - MO910A-2i R9 NGC MS63 40% Bright with nearly full original Tin plating. Drovers Hotel, St. Louis Missouri 1862 featuring a steer head on the obverse struck in Tin Plate. Very rare variety, the three examples in Newman were the first we had seen offered. One of those examples, also an NGC MS63, sold for $1,200 in our December 2016 sale. From the Eric Newman collection and so noted on NGC's holder. Reverse Die: 1009. (1500-2000)
