153 - 427/480A a R9 NGC AU55 BN Sharply struck with none of the problems that often plague this issue. A raw VF+ example of the -1b variety sold for $1,000 in our December 2016 sale. Union C 1863 with Eureka Good For 10. Two rare dies particularly the reverse. Very rarely seen above VF and many have some sort of problem, mainly stray counterstamps. We sold a similar raw piece in our August 2015 auction which realized $450. From the Tampa and Steve Tanenbaum collections. (1000-1500)
