119 - 187/214 g (apl) R8 PCGS AU58 Trace Red with 95% of original Copper plating remaining. Plain edge. Time is Money Exigency 1863 The Flag of Our Union struck in Copper Plated Lead. Rare obverse die that is normally seen in the store card series. Almost certainly a contemporary counterfeit made to circulate during the war. From the Dave Bowers collection. Called 187/476 g Copper-Plated Lead on PCGS's holder in error. Data: 0°, 61.3 grains, 19.1 mm. (500-750)
