161 - MI770B-1a R9 NGC XF40 BN Struck on an over sided 23mm planchet. Morris & Messinger Hardware, Pontiac Michigan 1863 Good Samaritan stove struck in Copper. Exceedingly rare variety, the only example we have recorded and not represented in the extensive Cliff Temple collection. It is interesting to note that the only known example of this die combination in Copper was also struck on oversized planchet possibly indicating some sort of die trial. From the Steve Tanenbaum and Robert Williams collection. (200-300)
