20 - 67/372 do R7 NGC MS65 40% Bright struck over what we believe is an 1862 Cent though not noted on the holder. Steve Tanenbaum had called a 1863. The 186 are fairly clear but the 2 or 3 is with the 18 of the tokens date making identification difficult. Indian Head 1863 Not One Cent struck over an 1862 Copper Nickel Indian Head Cent. Rare underrated variety in part likely the result of the business strike for this die combination is also struck in Copper Nickel and is often thought to be over a Cent. Token struck over Cents (and other coins, tokens, what have you) were one of Steve Tanenbaum's specialties. From the Steve Tanenbaum collection earlier from LeBean November 1983. (1500-2000)
