703 - Lincoln Memorial token Raw EF Details With two obverse nicks. Abraham Lincoln In God We Trust Assassinated April 16 1865 (with 25 under bust) // United States of American For Ever Inseparable 1864. Struck in White Metal 24mm. The meaning of 25 on the obverse has long been debated, given the motto In God We Trust being used on coins beginning is 1864 it has been suggested his is a proposal for a new quarter. Alternately, the 25 could represent the number of still in the Union after the Confederate states succession. From the Bob Miller collection. (75-100)
