87 - 234/431 a R6 Raw MS63 Trace Red. United States Capital 1863 with Value Me As You Pleas spelling error. Indiana Primitive version of Scovill's 233 die to which Higgins added the word Capital, another spelling error making this a double error; a subject near and dear to our hearts. The only Patriotic use of this obverse die. A Trace Red EF+ sold for $410 in our August 2015 sale. Very rare in Uncirculated condition, particularly this well struck. (750-1000)
