59 - 146/283 e R9 Raw MS61 50% Bright with nice cartwheel luster and some minor tin pest on obverse. Rare and popular combination of Eagle and Anchor and General Burnsides dies in White Metal. This Eagle and Anchor die like its more famous Hunting Dogs cousin has horizontal lines that add to the luster and beauty of the design. We sold an example of the R8 German Silver variety in MS63 for $947.10 in our April 2000 auction. From the Dave Bowers collection. (1500-2000)
