196 - MI450A-1b R8 NGC MS65 50% Bright. J. O. Ames Books & Stationery, Hillsdale Michigan. Extremely rare merchant and one of the keys to a Michigan merchant set. This is likely the finest known by a huge margin, Temple was missing this variety and Tanenbaum only had an EF. We sold a retoned EF in our September 2010 sale for $2,017. From the Wayne Stafford collection earlier from Heritage's April 2013 sale where it realized $4,112.50. (6000-8000)
