46 - 104/521 a R9 Raw EF+ Details Well struck for variety with a few light stains. Reverse die cud as usual with some associated weakness in the opposite obverse fields. Indian Head Copper Mine Token struck by A. W. Escherich of Chicago Illinois. Rare variety with rare reverse die though overrated at R9. One of the most detailed examples we have seen offered. A weakly struck EF sold for $550 in our June 2005 sale, while a well struck and likely finest known AU+ brought $1,855 in our July 2012 sale. From the Ed Rogalski collection. (500-750)
