166 - MI175A-1a R9 Raw EF Details With some residues. Congdon Brothers, Chelsea Michigan. The only use of extremely rare reverse die 1183A. This die is not pictured in Fuld's Second Edition further attesting to its great rarity. Serving as a quick diagnostic point as well as an explanation of its rarity is a die crack extending from the eagles head to the rim through the fifth star. This is only the fourth example we have seen offered. A slightly nicer example brought $1,045 in our April 2000 sale. From the Steve Tanenbaum and Dennis Wierzba collections. (1000-1500)
