51 - 134/283 j R8 MS64 40% Bright. Two very rare and popular dies Lincoln Redeemed and Eagle and Anchor struck in German Silver. This is the only example in our data base, a MS63 example in Brass sold for $5,000 in our March 2008 auction. One of the few off medals in the Tanenbaum collection. Ed Rosen who bought the George Fuld collection of Rhode Island was primarily a Store Card collector. When he discovered that a number of the pieces he received had been reclassified as Patriotic tokens he though he had been taken. Fortunately, Steve Tanenbaum came to the rescue purchasing all the unwanted tokens at a considerable premium over what Ed had paid George.
