29 - 101/263 a R7 AU By wear and sharply struck for variety but with a number of planchet flaws near the obverse rim and some light scratches around the E in Cent. Rare 1861 Indian Head obverse die by Escherich with wonderfully crude die work and nearly always seen in low grade often with problems. An EF or better with uneven strike and reverse planchet roughness brought $825 in our July 2009 auction. From the Bill Kelly collection. (750-1000)
