MD 60 Y-1b R9 MS63 30% Bright. Ph. Odenwald Good For 4 Cents with Beer Mug reverse die 1296. Attributed to Chicago in Fuld as IL150AP-1b but will be relocated to Baltimore Maryland in the next edition of the Store Card book along with a few other Chicago listed pieces and a number of unlisted pieces with initials. Aside from likely being the finest known this piece also has the advantage of a full name rather than initials making attribution much easier. Very rare merchant, a quite Porous VF brought $225 in my September 2010 sale. From the Steve Tanenbaum collection from Roy Van Ormer in 1989. (1,500-2,000)
