MI 45A-5a      Unl       VF       With a few light marks.  F. J. & J. Palmer's Woolen Factory, Atlas Genesee County Michigan.  Unlisted reverse die 1039A.  The main difference between 1039A and 1039 (also unlisted for this merchant) is that the ribbon end is between the 8 and 6 rather than over the 8 and the last star is just under the last feather rather than well below.  Underrated town and merchant, a VF+ brought $211 in my November 2004 sale.  Ex. Pool collection from one of my 1980's fixed price listed mistakenly called -1a. (150-200)
