493 - MILLER MA 58A Raw MS63 40% Bright and nearly Proof Like. Jos. H. Merriam Die Sinker Boston Massachusetts with 1860 Abraham Lincoln reverse struck in Brass 32mm. Unlisted in this composition in Adams, Miller and Rulau. Rulau apparently used the wrong Lincoln photo for this die combination as on the only Copper and both Brass examples we have seen Lincoln's bust ends above the 1 in 1809 rather than between the 8 and 0 in 1809. Rare in any composition. Dewitt AL 1860-38A King 576 From the Steve Tanenbaum collection earlier from Doc Carberry March 1980. (300-400)
